A pulsating hi-viz dance party blending Shangaan Electro, African bass, house and grime, with Nozinja (Warp Records) fast-tracking the STB dancefloor together with pedigree Bristol grime from Hi5ghost, and the warm chop and flow of peng! sound’s Ossia.

The creator of the shangaan electro genre and a new signing to Warp, Nozinja is a producer/showman and a true phenomenon, his virtuosic flair in cutting South African street dance with futuristic beats making him a modern day icon of electronic music.

The Soweto-based, scene-stealing svengali has produced a vast back catalogue of tapes, CDs and DVDs for the local market, a choice selection of which was released on the much-acclaimed Honest Jon’s compilation ‘Shangaan Electro’ and later future-shocked in fine style on ‘Shangaan Shake’, an arsenal of killer remixes from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Actress, Theo Parrish and DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn. More recently Dan Snaith (aka Caribou) has put out a string of Nozinja-produced singles (as Xitsonga Dance and Tshetsha Boys) on his Jiaolong imprint.

Now he has found the perfect home on Warp and is ready to unleash a brand new set of tracks in the company of a trusted hit squad of vocalists and dancers.

Specially put together by Start The Bus and Qu Junktions, get into gear early for this midweek May dance-off.
